
For University of Denver students on the fence about studying abroad or who haven’t considered it at all, here are stories and experiences of Ritchie School alumni who studied abroad during their degrees and were eager to share the advice and lessons they learned from their time abroad. Dr. Nate Evans, Director for Cybersecurity at the Daniel Felix Ritchie School of Engineering and Computer Science, stepped into the role this past summer and is dedicated to keeping DU’s cybersecurity curriculum on par with the latest industry standards.

National Engineers Week, or EWeek, is a week-long event dedicated to acknowledging the hard work of everyone in the engineering community, and we were thrilled to celebrate at the Ritchie School of Engineering and Computer Science.

The Center for Design Manufacturing & Fabrication, better known as the Machine Shop, is run by Mechanical Lab Manager Justin Huff on the first floor of The Daniel Felix Ritchie School of Engineering and Computer Science. The Machine Shop at DU serves a variety of functions; certifying students on how to operate mechanical engineering machines, supporting research projects at DU by creating parts and fixtures for them, and providing the opportunity to participate in real-world project designs for third-party contractors.
