Measuring the Connective Action of Black Lives Matter Activists: A Psychometric Investigation into Twitter Data
In my dissertation research, I am examining contemporary social movements within the context of Bennett and Segerberg’s Logic of Connective Action using a method combining social media content analysis and confirmatory factor analysis. To test this model, I used analyzed tweets sent by activists during the Black Lives Matter movement.
