Musculoskeletal Modeling
This project is developing and validating a multi-scale finite element modeling framework that is focused on the lower extremities and combines musculoskeletal modeling and detailed knee joint representations to evaluate natural and implanted knee mechanics. Key components include in-vivo data collection for subjects performing activities of daily living, in-vitro experiments to characterize the mechanical behavior of knee structures, and probabilistic modeling to account for intersubject variability.
