DSAI Program Overview 

At the Ritchie School, we provide a flexible, industry-aligned curriculum tailored to your professional goals. Our faculty offer hands-on learning so you can build a portfolio that showcases your expertise in data modeling, analysis, and AI-driven decision-making. How to Apply 

Applying to the program is simple. Here’s what you’ll need: 

  • A transcript from your undergraduate institution 
  • A current resume 
  • Two letters of recommendation 
  • A personal statement of at least 300 words. 

No GRE or GMAT is required and no prior technology degree necessary.  

Tuition & Aid 

The DSAI program is offered at a reduced rate of $859 a credit hour, 50% less than traditional graduate programs. Tuition for the 2025-26 academic year ranges from $30,924 to $41,232. 

There are several options available to help fund your degree:

  1. What are the prerequisites for admission? 

    Applicants need a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution. A background in mathematics, statistics, data science, engineering, social sciences, or computer science is encouraged. 

  2. Can I work while completing this program? 

    Absolutely! Evening classes are designed for working professionals. 

  3. What types of financial aid options are available? 

    Students can apply for federal aid or explore employer tuition reimbursement options. Veterans can use their GI Bill benefits with support from our Office of Veterans & Military Resources. 

  4. Are internships available? 

    Yes! Our optional for-credit internship course allows students to gain hands-on experience with a variety of organizations. Previous DS graduates have interned at companies such as: NREL – National Renewable Energy Laboratory, Ernst & Young, Xcel Energy, Mayo Clinic, Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, Pax8, Nike 

  5. Are classes live or pre-recorded? 

    Our program features live, synchronous classes that allow real-time interaction with instructors and peers, while maintaining the flexibility of online learning. All online sessions are accessible from anywhere with an internet connection. (we generally don’t live stream our in-person classes)
