Join the Center for Ethical Generative AI Applications (CEGAIA)!
As part of the DU Forward initiative, the University of Denver is launching a bold new initiative: the Center for Ethical Generative AI Applications (CEGAIA) — an interdisciplinary hub designed to integrate AI tools and ethics into teaching, research, and community partnerships across the institution.
We are currently inviting faculty, staff, and interested campus collaborators from all disciplines to express interest in working with CEGAIA. Whether you're already using AI in your work or just starting to explore its possibilities, your voice and expertise are welcome.
CEGAIA will:
Support faculty development and curriculum innovation in AI and ethics
Provide consulting and collaboration on AI-integrated research
Offer interdisciplinary teaching and co-curricular programming
Lead community-facing efforts around AI policy, security, and responsible innovation
We are looking for:
Faculty interested in developing AI-related courses or modules
Researchers looking to integrate AI tools or questions into their work
Colleagues from IT, OTL, and academic support units with ideas on infrastructure or tools
Staff and faculty who want to serve as Faculty Fellows, advisory board members, or collaborators
CEGAIA will officially launch in the coming months, with pilot projects beginning in 2025. This is an opportunity to shape the direction of a transformational, cross-campus initiative from the ground up.
To express interest or learn more, please fill out this short interest form. Let’s work together to ensure DU leads the way in ethical, innovative, and human-centered AI.
