Workshops & Events

The Innovation Labs offers multiple workshops and events each quarter to build community, promote safety, and offer opportunities to gain new skill sets. Nearly all of our workshops are free and open to all DU students, faculty, and staff.

    3D Printing and Laser Engraving

    This workshop is open to DU students, faculty, and staff of all disciplines! Learn to use the Innovation Labs' 3D printers and laser engravers. Due to space constraints, the workshop is limited to the first 10 participants per session.

    Sunday, May 21 | 4:00-5:00 pm | Metallurgy Building, 2450 S. Gaylord St. (#28)

    CNC Router Basics

    Spend an hour learning the ins and outs of our 4 foot x 8 foot CNC router. Safe operation of the router, how to design for, and set up files and materials will all be covered. All participants must pass the initial Intro to Woods Lab workshop before attending. Due to space constraints, the workshop is limited to the first 7 participants per session.

    Woods Lab Safety Orientation

    To gain access to the Woods Lab, every participant must complete the basic woods lab workshop. In the workshop, you will learn about safety procedures and demonstrate proficiency with the equipment. The workshop is roughly 1-2 hours long. Due to space constraints, the workshop is limited to the first 10 participants per session

    Intro to Sewing Workshop

    Work with sewing enthusiasts and share tips and tricks! All materials will be provided, and you'll leave with the skills and confidence to tackle your next sewing project. This workshop is free and open to all students, faculty, and staff at the University of Denver
