DU Dungeons and Dragons Club

The DU Dungeons and Dragons Club (DU DAD)  is one of the largest clubs on DU's campus.  The club meets within the Ritchie School of Engineering and Computer Science and regularly uses the Innovation Labs' resources for prototyping character and figurine designs and game pieces.  DU DAD has student employee representation among the Innovation Labs' staff and are deeply connected to the everyday operation of the Labs.

Ahead Wind - student startup

Ahead Wind is a student startup that was born out of the Innovation Labs by three students (now alumni).  Students utilized Innovation Labs resources to include technology, materials, space, and knowledge-base to develop and launch their business.  Ahead Wind is building Smart software powered by high-accuracy sensors to achieve optimal Slicing and Real-Time Machine Control on every3D printing machine.

Sustainable Cardboard and Repurposed Wood Furniture

Students have been designing and producing sustainable furniture in the Innovation Labs to include seating made from cardboard (pictured here) and bus stop benches produced from repurposed pallet hard wood and placed at bus stops in the community.
