First Week Back At School – Recap
Things are in full swing here at the Ritchie School. The past two weeks have been busy with first-year orientation, classes starting, welcome back BBQ and Chancellor Chopp’s inauguration. See all that was happening on campus right here:
First Year Orientation: It was great to see, and meet, all of our incoming first-year students. Dean Holston chatted with students where he talked about his background, his vision for the school, and answered questions.
Welcome Back BBQ: Every year the Dean’s office hosts a BBQ for Ritchie School students, faculty and staff. It’s a nice way to get out of the classroom and catch up after summer break. Mohammad Matin joined us again this year and served up some of his famous Indian cuisine! This year we also invited all of our student clubs to set up a table to meet new, and existing, students.
Dean Holston’s Reception: We are so excited to welcome Dean Holston to the Ritchie School. Robert & Judi Newman so graciously offered their home to host a welcome reception for Dean Holston – it was a night to remember that was attended by Chancellor Chopp, Chancellor Emeritus Dan Ritchie, DU faculty, staff and industry partners
Chancellor Chopp’s Inauguration: The Chancellor hosted an entire day of panels where she was able to discuss her vision for the future of DU that culminated in her official inauguration. See the vision for DU (strategic plan) here.
