Congratulations on the KLAB Dissertation Presentations
A big congratulations to Doctors Hossein Lotfi and Alireza Majzoobi on the presentations of their dissertations!
Dr. Lotfi recently presented the final defense of his work, Optimal Design and Planning of Hybrid AC/DC Microgrids. He will be joining the New York Independent System Operator in May.
Dr. Majzoobi successfully defended his dissertation, titled, Application of Microgrids in Supporting the Utility Grid. He has now begun work as a postdoctoral research associate in the ECE Department at DU, supporting ongoing US DOE projects.
Finally, some prestigious recognitions are in order for Rozhin Eskandarpour and her dissertation on Power System Resilience Enhancement Through Artificial Intelligence, Mohsen Mahoor and his dissertation surrounding Aggregated DER Management in Advanced Distribution Grids, and Abdulaziz Almalaq and his dissertation addressing Distribution Level Load Forecasting Through Deep Learning. They have all also completed their respective PhD comprehensive exams. We wish them luck in their future endeavors!
